ABOUT

Building Bright Futures Through Educational Excellence

ABOUT

MISSION STATEMENT

"To contribute to an environment of success for all AISD students."

SCOPE

The school foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt entity that has become a proven method of attracting funds for public education. It helps meet current and future needs, attracts significant dollars from the private sector and promotes positive community relations.

PURPOSE

The Amarillo Education Foundation has been created to support the educational program of the Amarillo Independent School District with the missions of “GRADUATING EVERY STUDENT PREPARED FOR SUCCESS BEYOND HIGHSCHOOL.” The Foundation will provide funds beyond the district’s normal operating budget for educational programs and activities for students and staff, for emergency fund needs of students and special projects/programs in support of AISD student success. These funds are not available through tax revenues; therefore, the Foundation funds will be used to facilitate student achievement and skill development, recognize and encourage staff excellence and expand community involvement of individuals, businesses and civic/community-based entities.
